FEMA, ARES, RACES, MARS, SATERN, SKYWARN, NTS; Served Agencies both Public and NGO; Public Service Events as Em Comm training; How to get started in Public Service events.; Controlled Nets; ARRL and FEMA training courses; What equipment and skills do you need; What to expect in real life as a volunteer; Lessons learned from Public Service events and EmComm deployments.
Walter Bordett, N2IK: Day job is Biomedical Engineer in hospital for 32 years. Ham in 1963
and again in 2000. Now Extra Class, VE, Instructor for licensing, and
ARRL CCE I,II,III mentor. Regular traveler for Empire Games. Active in
ARES, RACES, SKYWARN. Former DEC. Volunteered to NYC for 9/11 ARC
activation.
