EmComm East is an amateur radio emergency communications conference, where amateur radio operators involved in EmComm can attend training sessions on technical topics, purchase equipment and supplies from vendors, learn from served agencies, obtain VE testing for license upgrades, and interact with other EmComm operators from all over the area. Conference GoalThe goal of Emcomm East is to:
Conference FormatThe EmComm East Conference Committee encourages amateur radio operators, served agencies, and others involved in emergency communication to submit presentation proposals for general interest sessions. Preference will be given to presentations that fit into one of the following five streams:
Presentation FormatsSessions will be 60 to 75 minutes, allow at least 10 minutes for Q&A Informative vendor presentations are welcome, provided the session is aimed at new technologies and operating practices or case studies and avoids explicit sales content for services or products Timeline
